Toyota Hybrid Sales top 3 million
Who’d have thought it? Toyota has managed to sell more than 3 million Hybrid cars since the first Toyota Prius launched in Japan in 1997. Congratulations.

Ford is about to find out as part of a marketing effort for the car, which got new V6 and V8 powertrains for the 2011 model year. Ford thinks it can do at least 1,000 laps of the half-mile track at Bristol.
Mercedes B-Class is the basis for new China BEV
Back in March we reported that Mercedes and Chinese car maker BYD – they of the high-end battery technology – were getting cosy with plans to launch a new car make in China. And it looks like the first product on the list will be a BEV (battery electric vehicle) based on the current – soon to be repalced – Mercedes B Class. Which makes a lot of sense.
